Alistair A. Tarwid was born in Wallingford, England in 1953.
The son of a Pole and a Scot, he grew up in England, Kenya, Yemen and Singapore.
Originally an archaeologist and painter, Alistair A. Tarwid is now a translator and interpreter living on the German-Danish border. He has also appeared on the stage, acting in Low German dialect plays.
